I have been using a four pillars software and I don't know what the "Conception" and "Life" pillars mean. For that matter, I'm not sure what the ascendant and month is supposed to tell about your personality either - is it how you are at certain stages in your life?

As I understand it, the "conception" pillar is problematic since it is calculated by moving the month stem upwards by one (Wu Earth to Ji Earth, in my case), and the month branch upwards by three (Tiger -> Snake), and this - referring to the month pillar 9 months ago - is *not* necessarily the date you were conceived in the literal sense.

I couldn't find much on this on the internet or any book, so if anyone knows, drop me a line.

Hour: Ren Water Dragon (Chen)
Day: Xin Metal Pig (Hai)
Month: Wu Earth Tiger (Yin)
Year: Geng Metal Horse (Wu)
Life: Ding Fire Pig (Hai)
