Hi everybody!
Chinese astrology is so much fun. I have been studying western astrology for about 12 years, but I have recently discovered eastern astrology. And thanks to this message board, I have found it is delightfully complex! (you know how we Monkeys just love complexity :)
I have a pressing compatibility question, maybe you guys can help me out with it....
So far I have learned that Monkeys and Dragons are highly compatible, as far as the years are, anyway. I don't have a birth time for the person in question, but I looked up the birthday and found these stats:
Hour:Male Soil Brown Rat
Day: Female Metal White Snake
Month: Female Water Black Snake
Year: Male Fire Red Dragon
My own stats....
Hour: Male Earth Brown Dragon
Day: Female Earth Brown Rabbit
Month: Male Fire Red Dog
Year: Male Metal White Monkey
Is this relationship one that is built to last? Hope you guys can help me out with this one!

Re: Monkey and Dragon
Sat, May 14, 2005 - 11:07 AMHere's a secret, Monkey. There tends to be an amount of "hot air" attached to the anger side of a Dragon (although they don't always admit it), and Monkey's can usually see it, pick up on it, and get them laughing about it rather quickly. There also tends to be no limit in what they'll do for each other.
I actually have a physical reaction to Dragons, it's really cool. As if my body knows they’re a Dragon. They're amazing to watch. It appears that a Monkey can lift a Dragons spirit fairly quickly as well, and vice versa.
Monkeys love Dragons... -

have you found Rats and Dragons?
I have a good amount of friends who are Rats, & we do get along perfectly; but there is something to Dragons that just can't be put to words. That's a unity which may simply be defined as magic.

OK, so much for my initial reaction. It will probably work out. Thanks for the insider on the month and day. Where do you have those charts from?

Re: Monkey and Dragon
Mon, January 26, 2009 - 12:23 PMI am a fire dragon and my boyfriend of 6 years is a Metal Monkey and we get along just great! He is so agreeable and understands my energy and my eagerness to have fun. Sometimes especially in the first year I would wake up and think, "Is this real--that someone actually can stand to be with me?" I love him to death and feel so lucky to have found him. -

Re: Monkey and Dragon
Mon, January 26, 2009 - 5:00 PMthing is the guy has some water in his sign which is ok but you need wood as well in an ideal relationship. Wood or growth could be a factor to consider, We also choose relationships which are healthy based on balancing out our elements. Wood seems lacking. But if you plant a lot of houseplants this could improve things believe it or not. Glad you two do so well.

Re: Monkey and Dragon
Mon, January 26, 2009 - 9:38 PMawww that is soo great to hear!.........that you found love.........that is precious......... cherish that
wow that gives me hope.........that at least there would be some level of understanding and being on the same wavelength......:-)
I found some info on this combo...........sounds like a fiery, passionate relationship !
The Dragon and Monkey are a joy to behold as a romantic couple. The Dragon’s fire burns brighter thanks to the Monkey’s delighted applause. Meanwhile, the Monkey’s ingenuity becomes even sharper thanks to the Dragon’s encouragement. This fun-loving pair loves the circus, zoo and park. While the Monkey will sometimes scamper off on their own, he or she will inevitably return to the adoring Dragon. If the Dragon is smart, he or she won’t fret over the Monkey’s absences, knowing that this sign needs lots of freedom to thrive.
As friends, the Dragon and Monkey are a constant source of amusement for each other. The Dragon feels free to take chances with the Monkey around, knowing that their clever friend will find a solution to any unforeseen problems. Similarly, the Monkey is able to propose cutting-edge ideas to the Dragon, feeling safe that their pal will never dampen their enthusiasm with pessimistic predictions. The two should probably steer clear of doing business together, since neither is especially practical.
Sexually, these two make a delicious combination. The Dragon knows how to light the Monkey’s fire, focusing on each and every erogenous area. The Monkey thrills the Dragon with their acrobatic abilities. This duo could probably run a clinic that showcases all the new sexual positions they’ve invented. When the lovemaking is over, the two will have fun cuddling, laughing and talking. Their bedroom probably looks as though a tornado has hit it -- in addition to their athletic approach to sex, neither one is particularly neat.
