Hi, I am new here and was reading the posts relating to the rat and horse relationship. I am a wood rat and i am currently in a relationship with an Earth Horse. His family is very superstitous and they have been checking out mine and his chinese compatibility. Everyone tells me that in Chinese Astrology this is the worst pair possible..I will admit that i have been to see one of those fortune telling people and she pretty much confirmed what i thought..How serioulsy should i take this belief?. We clicked and hit it off straightaway and i feel so happy when i am around him. His so caring and makes me feel really special. We do have a history, but in the long term is this not going to work out?

At work I know a pisces with her day of birth in water horse and my date of birth in fire rat and we do not even SPEAK to each other. It's THAT bad between thast woman and myself. SO I would carefully check this compatibility at

and see how it goes. Rats and Horses almost never work but there can be mitigating circumstances I'm guessing this is the case and you have a like 68-73% compatibility. Like it if you post the results lets see. -

Mediocre at best. Are you always second guessing with this man? This is one of the toughest matches to experience. A little good a little bad. Either work hard, settle, or keep looking. The outcome will be determined by the input.
I wil admit we do have our moments but then we always seem to come back to each other. I believe in Chinese Astrology to a certain point but i also believe that in essence both ppl hve to make it work. What wil be , will be..It's interestingto seewhat you wrote about that female person at work..me an my other are the total opposite. -

Wed, April 15, 2009 - 3:21 PMI want to be a bit more forceful in m y opinion because I know a lot about this type of situation being a fire rat day of birth. Horses are a BIG NO for rats. Any horse any rat having a situation with same year of birth day of birth HOUR of birth ANYthing. Rats and Horses Hardly ever get along. IF there are mitigating circumstances in the situation such as complementary elements it would show up in the description. Mediocre at best is aBIG no. You wanted my opinion it is NO.
There are better choices in the world. Make one. Thank you the decision is now totally yours. I have weighed in and felt I had to be honest. -

Astrology is a fun thing for entertainment purposes and very DANGEROUS when taken seriously to evaluate your life and relationships
Take what you want from it but above all TRUST your feelings and instincts about someone because if you ask the important questions, you will find the answers
To trust you ll find the answers in anything outside yourself is no difference than rolling the dice
I am not excluding God from the picture, because HE lives within you , not in astrology books, not in smoke signals and not in oracles appearing in dark seances.
Give this astrology thing a rest for a week or two and see if you don't get some REAL Answers.

It always amuses me that people who claim to be very spiritually developed take GREAT offense at any system which reveals some of gods will, or that anything other than their own egos have any control over their lives. They will react violently to this simple truth. You can never change god's will, only interpret it.
We now have someone named Max posting who clearly does not believe in astrology whatsoever, and will now try to influence you. The truth is Max we all will do as we like and welcome your disparate opinion. However you do realize that you simply post an opinion. However I think it useful to have an open mind. I wonder that yours is not and you view this as entertainment only.
I view you as entertainment only Max. Have a nice day LOL. The only DANGEROUS thing in life is a closed mind. You can quote me. -

Sat, June 27, 2009 - 6:02 PMYou have to wonder why it is a BAD idea to base your activities upon how other people will behave and are. In reference to a Horse and a Rat we have an energetic and dangerous do it all horse trying to involve himself with a speedy greedy rat who is interested in getting away with it. A Horse will always try to step on a Rat. A rat will always live in fear of a horse and try to kill the horse off. So to TRY and make it work you have to ask yourself something. Which is "What in the hell are they trying to make work". A nightmare is NEVER a good idea.
THEN on top of this we have someone who CLEARLY has no real interest in astrology except to put it down interjecting his two cents.
I am non-plussed here. You have to wonder why Max thinks we will listen to him. Do you actually think you have what some kind of practical reason on your side against what? Thousands of years of successful prediction of human behavior?
"Practical" people are those who have no understanding of astrological concepts. They haven't got the creativity of mind for it. Hence they discount it. It's funny isn't it. -

Sat, June 27, 2009 - 6:03 PMAt work the manager is a wood horse. One of the employees is a wood rat. They NEVER talk to each other they avoid each other the rat stays in her office with the door closed ALL the time and does NOT socialize. They AVOID each other. They should avoid each other. -

I got to observe them get along at first but now it's got to the point that they are too worried to talk to each other since they don't trust each other. I sit there at work observing this and it's surprisingly compelling.
The girl is a rat and the boy is six years younger as a horse (1984 and 1990) I'm lucky to get along with both being born in 1985.
But I can sit back and watch the conflict of interest between them grow more and more. Recently the guy called the girl 'evil' which cause noticable discomfort between both of them. -

Sat, August 15, 2009 - 6:47 AMI understand that the 2 aren't compatible. I am a Horse - Fire Horse, my boyfriend for over a year is a Metal Rat (can you imagine?) No it hasnt' always been peaceful, but we do adore each other and want to make it work. For some odd reason, i've been attracted to Rats in the past...always..can't understand it.
Just want to point out a famous Rat - Horse couple - Robin Wright Penn and Sean Penn - they've been together for some time, I did read about a separation (that could be any couple) - it's interesting to see that it can work.
