thoughts on daylight savings time?

I was born a little after midnight in August. But in "real time" I would have been born the day before, a little after 11 pm.

In western astrology, this is accounted for, but what about in Chinese astrology? Would my day animal & element be calculated for the time my birth was recorded, or would I rectify -1h for the DST issue?

I often wonder about that in numerology as well. and the "these people were born on so-and-so date" kinds of things.

that first sentence was meant to read:

I was born a little after midnight in August, though that was recorded in daylight savings time. But in "real time" I would have been born the day before, a little after 11 pm.
