I just posted the first installment of what I hope will be a long and insightful exploration of the modern meaning of feng shui, located at my blog, rwhoeger.blogspot.com. now, what the hell am I writing, you might ask? is this guy going to post a paragraph or so of thoughts in a feeble attempt to draw people to his website? I will answer the second question first. yes. and the first question?

...I would like to include a discussion of mural painting/visual design as an integral part of feng shui as well, especially in the sense of painted design being a way to affect the energy of a space, but this may require a separate paper, particular to discuss the modern American perception of feng shui as Asian-influenced interior design. Feng shui is a system of interacting with the chi energy of a home and landscape in a positive way, and has its own fairly regimented method of affecting energy flow.
