Well of coarse in the book A Guide To Chinese Horoscopes by D J Burns. I previously quoted the Wood Sheep as Earth controls Wood: Stability and Direction but this has to be a book mistake according to its own words as follows.
There are 60 different combinations of dominant elements and animal signs illustrated
On pages 36-47 Metal Water Wood Fire Earth and guess what the Wood Sheep is the only one that dose not follow the types of cycle element order described on page 35 as follows
The Energizing Cycle /element order Wood Fire Earth Metal Water which in turn energizes Wood, and so on.
The stifling cycle/ Element order Wood Earth Water Fire Metal which in turns stifles Wood, and so on.
Effects on order of elements
Wood is most conductive and best utilized when combined with Fire or Wood
Wood is likely to be tempered or underutilized when combined with Earth and or Metal.
For some reason every one of the 60 combinations do indeed follow this except the Wood Sheep a obvious typo in the book instead of Earth controls wood: stability and direction it should of said either Wood controls Earth :Stability or Direction or it should of said Earth is utilized by Wood: Stability and Direction
If not Wood Sheep totally contradict the cycle and become special and unique from everyone else. Which I do not think is what is intended here. It must have been edited and the editor put in there own two cents because it might sound linguistically pleasing as Stability and Direction do sound as if they would be controlled by Earth so perhaps the editor fell into the flow of word verses the cycle of the authors intent who knows ask DJ Burns lol.
