well, from what I read about the goat as a year sign, that sounds about right..I am generally easy-going, and understanding..not always very tolerant. and I am told I put people in a good mood..so I guess that means social grace, to some extent.

in any relationship your year of birth relates to the other's year of birth, day relates to day, month relates to month. elements are viewed in totality. elementally we all look for balance of all 5 elements with us and our mates. the hour of birth is the ascendant it is what the individual strives for. thus it does not strictly relate to the other person in quite the same way or rather it is what is non-negotiable in any relationship.
thus in the case of basic compatibility we compare year of birth. done right all 3 of the 4 pillars of destiny are scrutinized.
now as far as zodiac signs in western astrology they tell you about the self or the month in eastern astrology. in this respect there is some compatibility there. eastern astrology is a better way to make compatibility.
